Advocacy Services with a Legacy Nurse Consultant

Please reach us at moriah@legacynurseconsulting.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes, your hospital and insurance company will often offer patient advocates to some of their customers. However, the advocates work for the hospital or insurance company. Not you! They are often from Risk Management meaning they may not always have your best interest at heart. Having a private independent advocate will ensure that your best interests are at the forefront of your medical care.

As a private independent healthcare advocate, we often help clients by:

  • Helping them to be better informed about their options by attending appointments to assist the patient in asking pertinent questions and explaining the answers.  _Your Medical Wingman, so to speak.
  • Explaining unfamiliar language and concepts.
  • Assisting in resolving confusion or conflict.
  • Communicating needs to providers and treatment teams.
  • Ensuring that all medical decisions are made with their best interest in mind.
  • Provide clarity for the situation and organize information in a meaningful and useful way.
  • Verify evidence and research to provide accurate and evidence based options for care
  • Communicating with the clients family when the client is unable.

Yes, we offer free consultations to all potential clients. Contact us today to schedule your consultation.

Our patient advocates are Registered Nurses with at least 5 years of experience in a variety of care settings. After your initial consultation, you will be paired up with an RN advocate that will best meet your needs.
